Tutu dresses are crafted beautifully. Indian Dresses are best for weddings, sangeet, puja ceremonies, festive celebrations and other occasions. The best of which was that I got to sew dresses again. I love the denim dresses I made for spring. Even those gorgeous wedding dresses are ok, maybe you will really love them when you wear them. I know high/low dresses don’t get a lot of love in some quarters but I love the swish and flow of them! I haven’t compiled a special list of things to sew, I’m just going to go with the flow and work from my present fall/winter list. A recap of what I’ve actually sewn this year before the 31st. Even though I’m finished with work at 1pm on the 23rd and don’t go back to work until Wednesday, January 4th, I won’t be sewing the entire break. I’m back to sewing for myself and I realize that I do need to take my time even if I am making tees and blouses or toppers.

I was happy to take my time to get those results. However, I did want to take this opportunity to recap my spring/summer sewing. Who take their time and make sure that each part of the process is done correctly no matter how much time it takes. However, remaking Simplicity 1621 became a priority after I wore last year’s version and I ended up with my most comfortable dress of the season. Maxi length versions since they wore so well last summer. You can purchase a number of dresses to enable you to put them on according to the occasion as well as weather. Even though all of them wore well and I’m glad to have them in my wardrobe, my favorite was “The Denim and Faux Leather” first birthday dress. I wore that pink one every where until I had to remind myself that I had other dresses to wear!

My daughter to wear in my Mom’s church’s fashion show. I like the idea of coming up with, designing, and/or copying a garment, spec’ing the fabric whether from a source or the collection and then getting it sewn up so I can wear it. Then I’m going to hang with Gaylen for a few days before finally heading home and spending a few days in the sewing cave. So a series of those emerged from the sewing machine. Even though September tends to be warmish, I’m good with a month of repeats while I do a little unselfish sewing. You can even throw in a denim jacket, sunglasses and your favorite necklace and ring for a casual and chic look. Anyone can feel like a real gothic beauty in this mysterious and exotic style.
